I was wanted to see Mesa Verde ever since my cousin's wedding in Durango, when I couldn't go because of a fire. I really like the mystery of why these people came down from the Mesa tops after living up there for 500 years, then built these cave palaces and lived in them for 100 years, then took off. And there are still huge holes in what we know about their way of life or what these dwellings were used for.
