Capitol Reef National Park (73 images)    (back to Four Corners main page)

The original settlers called this 150-mile protrusion from the earth a reef - because it blocked their passage like a reef in the ocean, also there is a big one that looks like the Capitol Building. I didn't get to see all of the park, as it is very long. But if nothing else I highly recommend the switchbacks on the Burr Trail. My pics don't quite capture how crazy they are.
