Mongolia -- I gave one of those Audobon chirping birds to the little nomad kid. I've never seen such pure unadulterated joy as when she figured out how to make it chirp. I could hear it ringing throughout the valley as I walked back to our camp. (Mongolians and Russians are both very big on gifts, so I managed to bring some of these birds and other cool stuff.)
